After much consideration and deliberation we decided to get solar for my 4 bed 2 bath home on the Gold Coast. We had a typical electricity bill of around $400 per quarter and as a large family decided the switch would be worth while. We decided to go with Jon Fiebig a local Solar provider who installed a 5KW system with panels. He and his team were both professional courteous and took the time to explain how the system worked, how we could monitor its output and how to maintain it. Solar PV panels on our Varsity Lakes home and we are pumping power back into the grid!
Since commissioning on 02 November 2018 we have pumped 900kWh into the grid in 6 weeks and generated close to 40kWh per day.
That’s pretty good considering our roof faces east and west, not north. So Jon recommended -12 east and 12 west to maximise the early morning and late afternoon opportunities.
We have a 5kW Solax inverter and 24 Jinko panels and we expect our power bill to be halved!
